Arrival at train station "Kozlova Zaseka".
In 1928, the year of Tolstoy's centenary, the station
was named Yasnaya Polyana. In 2001 it was given
back its historic name and the reconstruction works
were held here restoring the station as it was in
the time of Leo Tolstoy. The exhibition Railway
of Leo Tolstoy can be seen in the old station building.

Excursion to Museum "The Leo Tolstoy House".
It was here that the writer spent the greater part
of his life and created his masterpieces. The books,
pictures, family photographs, the writer's favorite
knick-knacks are on the same places they used to
be a hundred years ago. Visiting House and Leo Tolstoy's
Grave. The solitary mound in the woods carefully
woven by the lace of tree twigs allows people to
reflect upon eternal questions of existence.
The Kouzminskiy House. It used to house a school
for peasant children which was opened by Leo Tolstoy
himself. Nowadays the museums arranges its exhibitions
in its spacious and well lit rooms.
Coach House and Garden House. (The Stable) Meet
nice uncle in folk clothes. Tested hot tea with
pancakes and honey. Exhibition
Preserving the traditions, twenty beautiful and
thorough bred horses are kept at Yasnaya Polyana.
Our fosterlings are customary participants of races
and costume performances still held at the estate.
